Are You Worried about Yellow Urine
during Pregnancy?
When you become pregnant, many new changes
take place in your body. They may appear in the form of
various signs and symptoms which may be confused with other
diseases and medical conditions and may cause significant
anxiety and stress to you.
One of such symptoms is yellow urine
in
pregnancy. Since
you become more aware of changes taking place in your body, you
tend to become worried if the urine is yellow. But the reality
is that most probably there is nothing which should cause you
any problem.
Basically there are three main causes of
yellow urine in pregnancy:
1. Consumption of less water making the
urine concentrated.
2. Consumption of foods with yellow
pigments which appear in urine.
3. Use of prenatal vitamins causes
discoloration of urine to yellow.
What it means is that you should increase
the water intake daily so that you dilute your urine to
lighten the color of urine. There are many food items which
have the property to discolor the urine. For instance, the
vitamins especially vitamin B group, that are consumed
during
pregnancy can
also cause this. Vegetables such as carrots, beetroots and
asparagus may potetially change the color of urine to
yellow.
If above are the causes of yellow urine,
they are temporary. You should be worried about yellow
urine only if it is accompanied with pain and burning during
the process of micturition. In such case you should consult
your doctor.
So keep these points in mind and don't
trouble yourself with unnecesary anxiety.
